About the Competition
The Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide competition that encourages students in grades 6 - 12 to create their own software applications. Their software should aim to address a problem facing their community, implementing a potential solution. It promotes innovation, problem-solving, and STEM education while providing students with recognition and a platform to showcase their talent.
1. Check Eligibility
Students must be in middle or high school at the time of app submission, and up to four students can make up a team. Check what congressional district you're in— you can choose to compete in the district you live in, or the district you go to school in.
2. Create an App!
Create an app that addresses an issue in your community
​3. Create a Demonstration Video
Film a video walking through your app, showcasing its features and how it addresses an issue in your community.
​4. Review the Submission Checklist
​5. Register Online and Submit the App Before November 1st, 2023
​6. Complete the Exit Questionnaire Available on Your Application Page
